How many Irish Setters do you have?: At the time I have 2 bitches and 4 dogs

How long have you owned Irish Setters?: I bought my first Irish at 1987

About Me:: I live in the middle of Sweden out on the countryside, with a lot of woods around me. I am married but have no children (except the dogs ofcourse). I started my kennel at Mars 2005 and my kennelname is Cherry Bloom´s. I have only had two litters, but maybe it will be some more in the future.Except the dogs my hobbies is my garden and my 120 orchids.

Before we went to Stockholm we just had to visit my grandchildren, or Charlies puppies now 6,5 weeks old

Around two million animals each year face a terrible and painful death in China. They are skinned alive. Please take your time a minute and sign, we can not just accept that this terrible animal cruelty can last, so by signing the petition you can show your displeasure.

Piteå Internationel Dogshow, Has my mum been just crazy???

Has my mum been just crazy? She woke me up at four on Sunday morning of all days, in the middle of my beauty sleep! Thank God I got to go 350 kilometers in the car which I love :-)

Once there was indeed a lot of beautiful and perfumed ladies to sniff at ;-)

Suddenly, I would run several times around, while a jacket dressed male man looked at and what is more, he would squeeze and feel me too, and ended up looking in my mouth… Continue

My best friend for the last twelve year are gone...

Owning a dog is mostly filled with positive experiences, but one day a decision must be taken of me as the owner.

I have promised myself that in this situation never be selfish, to think of my dogs best and let my best friend have a dignified end. It is my duty as dogowners.

Thank you for that! This little puppy is Twoacres Joker The Hooley. His pet name was Flynn, but he was often called Hooley O'Flynn because he was such a hooligan...all his life!! My affix Hooley comes from him, as does the name of my other site, www.hooley-o-flynn.co.uk
Sadly I lost him almost a year ago on August 31st 2006, he was 14 and very special as although he was not my first setter, he was my first show setter, so we had a very steep learning curve together as we tried to learn about showing...and usually he won the battles as he was very strong willed.

His heart just stopped beating so it was instant and he didn't suffer at all. He had bladder cancer so I knew that he wasn't going to be with me for long, but he never got to the stage where he had more bad days than good. He was well right up to the end and only died because his heart stopped, due to a long standing problem with the rhythm of his heart. I always knew that this could happen but it was still a huge shock when it did and the other two, Fergus & Geordie, who I have now were very distressed by it all. They were all so close. I miss him still as he was such a wonderful character. He got me into many funny situations when I was showing him. I hope to add these to my setter site eventually.
