Beautiful head, but sorry, too much ear feathering for me;o)) If I left my dog's ears natural they would be long(couple of inches below ear leathers) but not that long;o)

She really has a beautiful head but with those ears they look like a cocker spaniel to me...sorry ;0

well, me liking her very much even with those long ears ... it is so sweet at home, not for shows of course, but so sweet ... more like an angel.... I like!!

I have just had this discussion pointed out to me, as Thendara Miss Selfridge was owned and bred by us I have found the comments 'interesting'
You may all be interested to know that 'Plum' was 10 years old when the photo was taken, and we chose to have her ears this length. She was successfully shown in the UK in this trim. The hair was not left long to 'disquise' less favorable points, she had what I consider an excellent Irish Setter head, with low set ears that had long fine leathers which folded adainst her head perfectly.
I have always considered that the Irish Setter coat should be its crowning glory the icing on the cake, more than anything else it deserves to be kept in healthy well groomed condition, regardless of how it is trimmed.
I think that it takes more than just a 'haircut' to make a good dog regardless of where in the world it was born!
