Joy hiking in the Dolomites, Italy
The good weather lasted only for a week, but we en'Joy'ed every bit of it! This was on our first day - in the background to the right 'Rif Auronzo'. Joy's backpack was still quite empty - she only carried a bit of water, because in the Dolomites you never know if you'll find some. The Italians loved our 'bel cane' our beautiful dog with her red backpack.

She did a great job with her backpack, thank you!, and carried it up to eight hours by the end of the week. She had to learn however that she can not squeeze through every narrow passage. The path is not always as broad as here - sometimes it is quite narrow with rock on both sides or a rock wall on one and a steep drop on the other side.

I love your photos, they are amazing. I can't wait to get my setter out onto the hills and mountains. I may even get her a back pack :)
