P.H. Emerson, At the covert corner; 1888 East Anglia
Emerson is a famous British photographer, he made documentary shots people at work, f.e. hunters. In my opinion there are two setters. Am I right?
And a lot of birds. Which ones.

Dont you think the coat is slightly wrong for a setter? Perhaps the one closest to the camera...but the other one?

If I had known??? For me it's possibly setter. Shape of body is rather long and narrow, and we can't talking much about coat because we can see only back and top of head. Talking about the socond is only a speculation. I wish they were setters. But looking at situation and environment they could be retrievers as well???
