Cynthia I had never seen a Irish Red and White setter in my home country until last Saturday at a show, they were two lovely dogs and amazingly live very close to me....small world :)) and your photos of Abigail are lovely. :)
Dianne, the Red and White are very rare over here as well. The ones I met apart from Abby belong to breeder's I have visited or were shown at shows. No "real life" ones around here, either. Most people that meet us think of Abby as a crossbred rescue from southern Europe or a Kleiner Münsterländer, which is a common breed over here in Germany.

Amazing isn't it Cynthia how people can mistake a breed of dog for another :0( I actually was asked by a vet nurse "what colour is an Irish Setter" lol. Maybe our setters are not seen anywhere much today :0(. Take care.
