About Me:
3 years on from the info below my husband has now left the RAF 9 months ago.
We relocated to Herefordshire where for the first time feel really settled.
Our setter has just had her first litter of pups 3 boys and 5 girls

I am married to Baz who is in the RAF, I have 3 children, 16 year old daughter, and twins a boy and girl who are 12.
1 setter called Bronte, 3 cats Marmite, Zebbedee and Milo.
I am about to finish work as a cover supervisor in a secondary school due to an on going back condition.

Now looking forward to spending time with Bronte as she is my companion during the week as my husband works away.
Although she is a traitor as soon as he comes home and doesn't want cuddles with her mum!!
Bronte is a very lively nutty setter and after owning labs for 20 years is quite a change!!
Never a dull moment when Bronte is around!!

Hi everyone Just a quick update on puppies, weaning now is going great as they don't have much choice since mum has been very poorly and had to stay overnight at vets.

We had to take her back again Saturday morning as another gland had swollen up and this time it had erupted which had left an big hole in her mammary gland. Poor love I so can sympathise with the mastitis as when I had my twins oh they were so painful when I was trying to stop breast feeding. Vet said it was a good…

Update on puppies and mum

Well a very eventful week really.

Started weaning on Monday and it went really well. Shame it didn't stay that way !!

I have fussy puppies well what did I expect as mum is a fussy so and so with food.

Wednesday I had a lovely lady and gentleman come to look at pups as interested in a girl. All was going well and they stayed an hour or so. Bronte fed her pups and then took herself off into the garden. She spent ages out there and…

Puppies growing fast now 19 days old.

Just thought I would give everyone an update on how puppies are getting on.

Well what a difference a few days make and how quickly they are growing.

Last Thursday they were 14 days  old and only a few of them had opened their eyes and not properly either. In the last 2 days…

Hi Pippa,
Good luck with the sale of your litter! I just thought I should mention as I see you are in the UK you should advertised your puppies on Colin Waddell website : Irish Setters UK and Ireland. It is the best place to make sure everybody knows about your litter. Regards, Catherine

Hi Pippa, I was thinking I could give you numerous suggestions to your pooches poo problem....I had the very same problem!! But I could tell it was just a time where you had had enough like I have from time to time :) I could suggest pinnaple juice in there food but I bet you have already heard that one! My daughter is trained in animal behavior and I've tried a lot of her suggestions too. Its ironic you know, as soon as we get rain Poppy poops inside :( thank god that's not often here where I live in Australia. I am house proud and my adult children are amazed how I deal with it...truth is so am I !! And your baby birth comment, I love it both our daughter and daughter in law just had girls.... Hmmm can't wait :)))) revenge. Take care x
