Hi Fran, Hope Tally is doing well.

Hi Kristina I am going to check the video cam tomorrow to see if Tracy did manage to get any good shots of my dogs at the weekend. I hope she did manage to do so. Will be nice to see Flora over the jumps... any chance of some pictures or video's o…

Hi, Fran. Nice to see new setters in agility. I live in a small country and I don't know of any other irish training agility. I hope to see video of your last run (is that the proper word?) with Tally as well as Barkley. From March to September this…

Tally and Barkley competed very well at an indenpendent show yesterday. They both enjoyed the experience. There was no aggression and the atmosphere very relaxed. We plan to go again next month. The people were very nice and helpful. Poor Tally was…

Hi Kristina Take a look at this video series. Rather than "yeah" I clicked and rewarded my dogs for entering, not just with food but with a toy too. In Tallulah's case her greatest reward was the ball, so I clicked and threw the ball for her. http:…

I have been speaking to friends of mine, and have decided that we will compete in UKA shows next year. Evidently they are far more laid back, smaller shows and hardly, if any, aggression problems. I like your comment Marc. I love it when people sne…

Hi agility enthusiasts! How are you? Nothing ever happens in this group. I would love to know how your setters are doing - regarding agility. Flora is sometimes very uninterested, but nex time like a entirely different dog - very enthusiastic. How o…

We're Back and On the Go Again

Back from BC and had a wonderful time. The weather co-operated for the most part except when we were trialing!!!! We took in a trial at Courtney/Comox BC. The people were very welcoming to the Saskatchewan folks and the red ones! Most couldn't get over the size of Zena....Yes she is a big girl at 29.5" to the withers and she holds herself quite proudly. One comment I heard alot was how graceful she was. We did well in the events and qualified in Masters Jumpers.

Once back we headed off

Off We Go

Well away we go to BC for 3 glorious weeks....just my husband, myself and 2 Irish girls. Hopefully this year we'll find more campgrounds that are dog friendly. My pet peeve is paying an extra $15.00 a night/dog, they can't use the facilities so why treat them differently. While in BC we'll be taking in an Agility Trial in Comox (Roadsters Agility) its always nice to trial somewhere different, people are always amazed when they see an Irish Setter!

Ally and Spring are littermates so Ally is her aunt. I've got a cousin (Emma) to your girl (my Ally daughter) coming 3yo in Apr. I've started her a bit in agility but her primary focuses have been field and show where she's kicked some butt! Emma has a littermate in Edmonton who is wowwing people with her drive and determination in agility up in Edmonton. I'm hoping I may have Emma ready to start some agility this summer as long as puppies don't interfer with her training... How is Ariess doing in agility?
