Henny Penny!!!!

A little true story I heard yesterday about a sister of Abbey's, named Penny!! Penny's owner Dónal got a few new hens recently!! On three seperate occassions Penny carried a live hen to their back door, where she left it unharmed and stress free(quite tame birds!!) The little hens just walked away and are now laying eggs as if nothing happened!! I hope Penny continues to be that gentle in future!!;o)) Continue

St. Patrick's Day Dog Show!!

No brilliant results, no photos!! But Abbey's first show was great for all the right reasons(she had a brilliant fun day!!) Was delighted with how she behaved in the ring having never been in one before, and also her first time indoors!! She was a perfect puppy for me!! She was 2nd in her class and graded very promising(good enough for me!) But the rest of the day was super, she did lots of meeting and greeting both 2 legs and 4 legs. Crufts '09

I had a great time at Crufts on Saturday meeting quite a number of the ES members!!! Thanks to Dee Rance for the hospitality including wine, snacks and lovely chats!! Sheila and Darby at Crufts

We had a great time at Crufts last Friday. Rua went very well but wasnt placed, but Rua's son Darby(Clannrua Donard at Cloonminda) was placed 3rd in junior dog, so myself and especially Sheila(his owner and handler) were even more delighted!!!!!!! Will get Sheila to post a photo soon!! Well done to all the setters and their owners we met at Crufts! Carmel and Red Heads! Continue

Clannrua show results

Another good day for the new Clannrua puppies!! Sheila and Darby(Clannrua Donard at Cloonminda) went best puppy in show at the Irish Breeds Championship Show in Dublin today! And Alison brought Molly(Clannrua Nephin Beg) out for the first time and she was 1st puppy bitch!! Molly is quite the character and had to give the judge(Sean Delmar) lots of kisses!!!!!! Megan and Rua both got 3rd placings and were graded ex. Met lots of good friends too!!! ;o) Continue

Show Result

Rua's only dog pup from her Jan.'07 litter: Clannrua Donard at Cloonminda(Darby) owned by Sheila Hughes, had a great start to his show career!! At his first show he was 1st puppy dog(graded v.promising) and yesterday(Aug.5th)he was at his second show, again 1st puppy dog,best puppy,1st puppy group7, and 3rd best puppy in show!!!!!
