Just want to know if anyone knows the Irish setter movie ..Disney's Big Red ..1962

I was so lucky that a friend had it , and made me a copy..

It's just wonderful..

 

Wil alleen even weten of iemand ook de Ierse setterfilm Disney's Big Red uit 1962 kent..

Ik was zo gelukkig dat een vriend hem had en mij een copy heeft gemaakt ..

het is een geweldige film ...

I have found it! It is on Amazon and costs £3.49. I just put 'big red dvd' in Amazon's search and there it was! I am buying a copy now.

I don't really know if the book is the same ..the movie is made in the Disney Studios in the year 1962..

I also have the book also ..and there's a follow up ..the son of Big Red ..

Je kan meer genieten als je de trilogie leest: Big Red&Irish Red&Outlaw Red. In ons land verscheen in Pep de strip Roy. Recent was er in de UK White Star, a dog on the Titanic, geinspireerd door de schrijver van Big Red

 

Even more enjoying is reading the trilogy Big Red&Irish Red&Outlaw Red written by Jim Kjelgaard. In the Netherlands there was Roy in the youthmagazine Pep. Recently the book White Star, a dog on the Titanic written by journalist Marty Crisp, inspired by Kjelgaard, had success as a youthbook in the UK.

 

In het Australische magazine Irish Times (jaren negentig) schreef ik een special over Kjelgaard en film getiteld Stories within Stories.

In the Australian mag Irish Times (nineties) I wrote a special on Kjelgaard and the movie entitled Stories within Stories.

 

Tips voor nog meer geluk dus. Nog een tip: doe het allemaal zelf en combineer het met T.H.White The Goshawk. 

More enjoyment: do it yourself and T.H. White The Goshawk as well.

I remember a long time ago going with my mum and dad to a breed club social evening and they showed the video of the film! This must of been about 25 years ago at least! My dad bought me all of the books, I wonder what I have done with them!?
