Recently scientists discovered a new case of symbiosis between organisms belonging to different species. Discovered case is similar to the well known symbiosis between Clown Fishes and anemones. Let’s remind: the anemone protects the Clown Fish from most predators, and the Clown Fish helps the anemone by cleaning it, as it eats detritus.

The new discovery concerns two species: Three-teeth Janka (Janka tridentata) and Shameless Fokka (Fokka impudica). Both organisms live on two levels of wooden structure: Janka settles the upper level and Fokka its bottom part. Fokka feeds on rests of Janka’s food, cleaning very efficiently the wooden structure. Scientists noticed that sometimes Fokka picks up the food (especially biscuits) directly from Janka’s tentacles. More research on this phenomenon is needed to state if Janka is sharing her food voluntarily.

My 'new upper part' uses the sweeping action, you put the food on the 'shelf' and she, the upper part, uses a sweeping action to 'toss' the food into the 'lower parts' mouth, unfortunately I have two lower parts..

hehehe... that was one of the funniest things I have red on this site:)

Renata, maybe you find time to go into deeper scientific research and solve other problems as well ? There must be more symbiosis between the juvenile form of Homo sapiens (juvenilus ?) and the special form of Canis familiaris vulgaris jagerendum lohmannii
When juvenile form of h.s. has its relaxing modus, i.e. sleeping at night, the dogs can hide themself under several bedsheets without breathing. Maybe they have a different way to get oxygen by skin contact...
What a pity that this status never can be explored for longer period, as the adult form of homo sapiens, mainly the female form, tries to avoid this symbiosis in bed...

No why try and separate the two species if the symbiosis is working, it could render the HS side of it Non-sleeping....and the CF would only worry at the door, (it is a lot better than a hot water bottle, it stays at a constant heat never gets cold).
I have pictures (would love to be able to post them but too thick) of the HS side trying to form a 'super bond' with the CF side, lying across the Canis side, this makes it difficult for the HS to sleep only head and feet touching the ground. I am sure that there are more pictures of this subject, there must be people out there that can post these pictures. Bring it on.....

Yes, Dee, I'd like also to see next stages of this symbiosis. It seems that we are in the very beginning!
Christiane, I think we will be able to make deeper research on sleeping habits using the example of Dunhill and his owner. He saved some features of juvenile Homo sapiens form.

@ Dee - We simply have not enough kids to satisfy all dogs;-(((
@ Renata - Including Dunhill (Lohmann'S Podolski) would limit the whole research to the subspecies C.f.v. jagerendum jachtensis lohmannii, but I will be glad to hear from him and Pawel;-))) Strange subspecies they are, but I like them a lot !

O.K. Now I have to go in the kitchen and let the dogs draw matches, who is the winner tonight...

Would you like to borrow a few of mine??? I have a ratio of 2 to 1 at the moment, but can find another 2 if needs be.......unfortunately only two of the 4 legged variety. Have been trying to get the photo's taken and posted, will keep trying, but they seem to be very shy when it comes to having their photos taken, or perhaps its me being too thick.... Do your 4 legged part of the symbiosis adhere to the draw or is there a bit of a squabble???? for the best underneath position.
