not sure how you can do that - I`m happy, that I have added this pics on my side - don`t ask - how I could change them :-)
You live in the scottish highlands too? You have to be so proud about that!!!
Since we own our boys, we love the nordic states much, we spent our holidays in the netherlands and denmark and we thinking about a trip to sweden too...
Before we got our boys, we went the typical beach tourists...
Hi Dee,
Bree is an amazing setter -- we have had 8, and she is the best we have ever owned. She should be registered, but I never sent in the paperwork. Not being registered is making it more difficult to find anyone who would breed for a pup and the stud fees are $600 and up!! Maybe that is normal, but sure seems high to me. It just seems wrong to not have puppies out of Bree as she is such a great dog. I noticed last night that she is in heat -- and have yet to find any (suitable or not!) male Irish Setters in the area. Maybe in 6 months. I hope you are able to have puppies soon. If you do, would love to see pictures!
Thanks for your message. (By the way, it is H O T in Oklahoma!!!!)
i suppose that by now the season has started , or not. Allways at the most inconvinient time I feel...:-)
Either when I am about to compete (no bitches in season allowed) or, if I am planning a litter = too late or too early.
Still a total heat-wave here...thank god I am just by the sea and there is a breeze most of the time.
And that was that...summer holiday over for this year. Although its never a complete holiday if I am at home. I keep taking whatever work that comes in anyhow. No more new animals added to the family...lets hope it stays like that for a while...im quite happy with what I have got :-)
Dee asked me to let you all know that she's offline until the beginning of next week. Her computer's crashed but she hopes it will be back up and running by early next week.

Hi Dee
I was thinking of entering my puppy at NEEISC in October as she will be 6 months and 8 days, it will be her first show. Which classes do you think I should enter her in and would it be best just to enter one to begin with. It's her first show and my first for over 10 years!! Do you need to trim their coats when they are so young, she doesn't have much at the moment!
Regards, Deborah

Nice to hear from you once again Dee!
I allways take a blood-test before mating so that I get the absolutly best day possible. And that has worked fine so far.
But then you had her with the stud-dog all along, and that could hardly be better could it?
Pity it did not work out. And with 11 months between seasons, its a very long wait.
No I have not heard about anything for getting bitches to come in to season...only horses, but that is a totally differant matter.
Glad to see you back on-line!

Never heard of a saliva-test at all!
Interesting. But the bloodtest is 100% reliable. I normally take two tests and its been great. Especially as I have very limited admount of time and normally travel far to mate my bitches.
So lets hope it works out next time!

Hi Dee,
Ta for the note. We met last at Camperdown in June. I live near Forfar - near Kinnettles actually about three miles south west of Forfar. It was talking to you that made me look at this site again. I did my page last year some time but hadn't checked the site for ages. Hope your girls are well, and we'll see you at Alva I expect. Your pictures are lovely. Who are the monochrome ones? My last bitch was from Intrepid. I didn't know that, we didn't show then, and I only really looked at her pedigree when we got Maeve. Lovely to hear from you. Ruth

I have the same problem...constantly.
Hi Dee, sorry not been in touch for a while, I missed the club show entry so I'm not going, I have to get myself more organized!!!!!
I assume looking at previous posts you're trying to mate Saffy, sorry it missed this time better luck next. Keep in touch & take care.

Dee, I would definatly not travel to the other end of Europe for a stud-dog! In that case I would go for insemination. But I normally draw the line at about 8 - 10 hour drives (one way).
That will have to do!
Yes, I do see the problem with having to wait 11 months.
A total pain!
Hi Dee Rance,
You are my mystery friend! I love yours girls, they are gorgeous!
I´m an Art teacher and I like yours draws of setters. I´m thinking begun drawing my setter but my fiancé sais or she is first, otherwise, I must draw James with her. It´s also a better suggestion.

Rui
Hi Dee,
Nice to have you online again!! Thanks for your messages. I had a great weekend - lots of sunshine and warm weather and seeing my family! Busby had to stay here but I think he would have moaned in the hot weather anyway ;-) Hope you managed to get Saffie back ok. Looking forward to our next walk!

Cheers Dee,
Yes it is the Saturday for Alva I believe. We'll see you there. The babe is doing fine. We're just back from a walk in the woods and fields so I have two messy, but very cheerful redheads. Pity about Saffy. I didn't know you were going to mate her. What dog did you choose? Maybe she'll be more receptive next time.
See you soon
Ruth
Hi Dee
Thanks for the advice, yes I did just enter her in minor puppy. I will take you up on your offer of the trimming, what time is it best to get to the show, it should take us about 2 hours to get there, hopefully Molly won't be sick.
All the best, Deborah
