You should visit Ireland Andy it's a lovely place, my brother moved there 12years ago and now drives coaches but sadley not Bus Eireann ones, i'm often asked what kind of dog is that, the one question that i didn't like being asked by a shifty looking man was are they expensive.

My son has been to Ireland a few times and loves it Ellen. I must go there one day. I don't think I would have liked being ask that question.

Lovely ad. Never seen it before either, so thanks for posting it, Andy. The company still sponsor one of the big setter shows on the circuit every year, and have their setter logo engraved on the crystal for prize winners. Very desirable,i'm told.

Amazing Andy...same comment here In Australia "I knew someone that had one". Also bit of shock when the vet nurse asks....what colour is an Irish Setter!

That is funny Dianne. I was looking on ebay and found an advert for a "Black & White Irish Setter" ornament. I contacted the seller and he told me he knows nothing about dogs and just goes by what the makers tell him!
