Finalization of DNA CLAD & PRA rcd 1 Irish Setter Testing
Just to let you know that I am in the process of preparing proposals regarding the closure of the Irish Setter Breed Register to any litter bred from parentage or ancestry that is not either DNA tested Clear of CLAD and PRA rcd 1 or is hereditarily clear. Information should be with you in a couple of days

Glad tidings,
As SA owners/breeders know from the documentation you have recieved this week, I have had my head down concentrating on administration related to DNA testing. I am pleased to advise that at 7.45 last night the Secretary of Cape Gundog Club confirmed that the proposals will be tabled at their Committee Meeting this weekend, due to the favourable response recieved from Setter owners/breeders around the country. Thus the first stage to approval by Kennel Union of Southern Africa is underway. Keep your fingers crossed, will advise outcome next week.
