How many Irish Setters do you have?
Two - Silmanhurst Ariadne (Ruby), Clannad Scarlett Flame (Scarlett) and a springer spaniel Topsie who thinks she is a setter!
How long have you owned Irish Setters?
Since 1982
About Me:
I fell in love with Irish Setters when my Dad brought a puppy, Sebastian home and left him in the middle of the floor to surprise my Mum on their wedding anniversry. When I left home and got a house with a decent garden I didn't worry about furniture just arranged to pick my beautiful Bronte up the same day. At one point we had 3 setters Withersdale Red Ribbon(Bronte), Withersdale Jasmine Rose, Silmanhurst Ariadne(Ruby) and a springer spaniel Topsie. Sadly Bronte and Jazz are now over the Rainbow Bridge but we have Ruby (5), Topsie(8) and Scatty Scarlett who is 12 months and more of a mischief than all the others put together! I never tire of looking at photos of setters - they just make me smile and feel happy.

    Hello Fiona,

Thank you for your interest, by using a crystal over a piece of hair from most any animal and asking any question, yes, no, I can usually find out what isthe problem with them, have they a health problem, something they like or dislike, sometimes things that have happened to them in the past which is affecting their present behaviour. If they are ready to leave this world. Most animals are very honest, some are outright fibbers, and others just want to tell you about another animal or something that is wrong wih their owner, it is fascinating, but it is just something I can do, I do not consider it to be a gift or consider myself to be psychic it anyway, far from it, the idea of anthing supernatural fills me with the horrors, I cannot even watch a spooky movie. Trust your dog is well, best wishes Jackie

Me and my hubby Peter feel the same regarding Irish once you have had one there is never another breed that can satisify. Like you they bring so much fun and joy into your lives and they are so fantastic with children and to be honest we have found them so so easy to train, start off on day one with them and we 've never had a problem, nothing chewed up never take food off tables or work tops, who would ever want any other breed. They are brilliant

Hi Fiona How amazing we live quite near to Alfoquia I pass through it when I visit a friend in Cucador. We live in a little place called Las Pocicas your dad may know it it is up on the Saliente road where the sanctuary is. We have been here 3yrs n 6mths. The dogs love it and don't seem to mind the heat infact they are really sensible they stay in when it's really hot lay on the cool tiles. Nina likes to lay in the sunshine when it's not too hot but I must say they have really adapted to the climate change. Look forward to seeing puppy they are adorable aren't they and like you I just love looking at them did you see the litter of 16 on this site they were a dream to look at. regards Pam x
