About Me:
Have moved around the world a lot., Norway, Canada..where I concentrated on showing Arab horses...discovered setters and the horses took to each other very well.....took all my lovely setters to France for 7 years...now back in U.K., (Suffolk) with Abbi (2 years old) and new baby girl..Lola ... just adore setters..nothing compares as far as I'm concerned...Never happier than when walking in the forest with my girls (and hubby, of course) ..passionate about gardening also , which can pose a problem!!

    You should really try mushing with your dogs, it's so much fun.
    With regards to the walking on the lead your dogs should be fine if they're trained right.
    The dog should only associate pulling when wearing their running harness.
    We walk the dogs in harness aswell, so it can take them a bit of time to settle into their walks and know they can't pull.

    Hi Sammy, thank you so much for your birthday wishes! Most of the day I was not busy with the setters but with our injured pony and the landlord who decided to cancel our lease contract (pasture) and put a new Shetland pony to my old Fjord pony that was really angry and fought for its ground (6 pm!). Bye, bye birthday party :-((

    Thank you for your kind message. Hattie had bloat and a partial torsion of her stomach two weeks ago. Thank goodness we were both at home at the time and rushed her to the vet - having had this happen to one of my previous girls we were all to aware of the emergency. Feel so guilty that I am have done something to bring this on - but I have always been careful about feeding and exercising. Will now review our routine and try to stop this happening again. Hattie is doing really well, she had her stitches out today and is full of beans, ready to start exercising again slowly. Hope you are all well and enjoying the summer.
