I am so spoilt, I am even on Facebook. Look me up (Riley Benstead) if you have time and don't mind chatting to a puppy. xx

Hi Andy! Have you tried the D.A.P. Spray because of the car sickness? It was the only thing that helped my girl. All the best. Barbara

Hi Barbara. Yes we have, but so far has made no difference to him. My wife has some rescue remedy and that seems to help. I feel quite sure he will grow out of it very soon. As soon as he is allowed out, he will be taking short walks in the park or the woods and long ones when he is older. He may then connect the car with something good. Fingers crossed.

    Kindest regards

Hi Andy, and welcome. Hope my little quip following your comment didn't offend you in any way. Just me trying to inject a little humour into a very serious debate! Sincere regards, James & Romeo.

Riley Benstead has been out in the car today. We only went about ten miles but he was not sick. He started to dribble as we arrived at a horse sanctuary. He started to enjoy it, but then came the rain.
He got wet going back to the car and my wife had a towell to dry him. He met other dogs and some horses. He also met a lot of people that gave him lots of fuss. We came home and he just started to dribble as we arrived.
I am sure he will not have much trouble with cars in the future. Fingers crossed.

    Hi Andy,

Just wondering how Riley is getting on in the car now?

We have a long journey down to Tamworth on Saturday to collect our IRWS pup and I'm taking Darcey to keep her company on the way back. I'm sure by the time we get down there the car crate will look like a swimming pool! :D

  • Andy Benstead

Hi Emma. Riley was getting so much better, but when we took Cassie to the vets on Monday, Riley came with us and he started drooling before he even got in the car. Obviously it is nothing to do with motion sickness, but a fear of the car.

Hi Andy, i spotted you at Crufts today it was the t-shirt that gave it away, but by the time i'd got out of the seat you had gone as i would of said hi. (",)
