- I got my first Irish setter 8 years ago, I was hoping to have a litter from her and keap a puppy but she had her first epileptic fit at 2.5 years and I would not risk her passing fits on so I got my second setter 6 months later.They get on very well, they both love children, the older one has aged early and cannt walk very far.(Add on August 2012) Now I have my third Irish at 8 weeks old.
