To explain further, in the US, dogs must get 15 points under different judges to gain a championship. Points are between 1 and 5 at a show, and the number of dogs or bitches defeated determines how many points are awarded. They must get two major wins under two different judges along the way. Major wins can be 3 to 5 points maximum. The number of dogs it takes to make a major can change yearly. It depends on what part of the country you live in and how many dogs were shown in that area the previous year. Brea got a single point from the judge shown in the picture last year, so she was still able to be shown under her again to try for a major win, which is what she got last weekend.
