- About Me:
- animal lover currently with only one 4 yr old male setter and a tortoise. I am looking for advice. Logan is the 6 th setter I have had. I have never neutered my males but I am having issues with Logans training. Pulling on the leash to the point I have had some bad falls. He can jump so its difficult finding places that are safe to run it. He has run into one car and was unhurt. I wondered if neutering would make him more docile but again it might just be his very strong hunting instincts and if so neutering would only ruin his coat. In my 60's 2 broken bones and a concussion I need to do something also wondering about electric collars. He is not a big dog just 60 lb my last male was 110 and much easier to handle but I bred him so he was trained from day one
