My husband and I just became owners of two beautiful Irish Setter puppies, brother (Bailey) and sister (Irish Angel). We have been having a wonderful time being Setter parents and our lives have become so enriched with these two. Every day is a new adventure!
So good to see you on here - it is a wonderful website. Your babies are adorable
- you can see the likeness of ours in yours or vice versa. I can t believe how fast they are growing - they are almost as tall as our Maggie who is five years old. We are loving
every minute with them. They truly are little rascals but so lovable. I don t know if
Rose told you how we met but she had lost her beloved Eliza and I had lost my
Molly a month before - she was looking to get another puppy and we became fast friends as a result of our girls. This was a very special moment as I believe the girls brough
Rose and I together and now we have new babies to enjoy - we do have four other
dogs - two Irish and two little long haired red rescue doxies - they are wanna be
setters. YOur babies are just gorgeous - love the booties on them. Mine are just
getting used to being outside - we ve had 60 degree temps and sunny and they
are exploring the outside - we don t have acreage but we do have about one
half acre fully fenced and a pond which Shannon has already fallen into the
other day - she was find and dog paddled her way out - don t think she wants
to go in there again!!! I m trying to get pictures all the time as they grow and
hard to get them together as they are always busy busy. Do yours chase
around and play fight hard? Mine do and then they crash for a nap - they
have slept through the night from the first night I brought them home
- they go to bed about ten and get up about 7 30. So glad you are on here
and I look forward to seeing more pics and hearing about your babies.
Too funny! Irish Angel and Bailey play hard wrestling (we liken it to the way Sea Lions or Seals play!) and then they are asleep. They are either playing and running fast or asleep. No in between! We are very glad we have a brother and sister too. They are best friends and keep each other entertained all the time. They are such beautiful dogs that we are considering keeping both for breeding. That would require keeping them in separate outdoor kennels. We feel this strong old Irish Setter line needs to move forward. Rose did an awesome job breeding Thee Scarlet and Jet Setter. Our puppies are so smart. They too slept through the night the first night, and picked up typical commands quickly (such as sit, stay, down, leave-it). They have 5 acres to romp on at our home in Leavenworth and we walk them through downtown often. They love visiting with people and other dogs. I think being brother/sister pair makes them feel secure so they are very friendly and outgoing with others. I am very excited that you have a brother/sister pair also and you live just up north from us. I hope that we can visit someday!

Hi Laurie,
I just wrote a long message and it vanished into thin air! Irish Angel and Bailey look wonderful, they have really grown. Thank you so much for giving them such a great home.
I see you have met Lynne, she has Andy and Shannon from Scarlet's litter.
This is a wonderful forum and I plan to spend more time here when my puppies are all in their new homes.
Hi Laurie....I look forward to seeing more photos of the lovely little Angel and Bailey as they grow..I love their booties...I am surprised they kept them on...guess they could feel the cold....;-))
Hi Laurie thank you for the friends invite happy to be your ES friend just love your two wee pups hope you have loads of fun is it hard having two the same age
Thanks Martina. Yes, it is challenging to have two puppies the same age. Lucky for me and my husband (who recently retired) we have time to spend with them...no puppy sitter's for us. They live in the home with us and are always supervised outside which keeps them out of trouble :) We live on 5 acres and are surrounded by miles and miles of trails, FS roads and places for dog walks. They are spoiled indeed!
Hi Laurie, I know what you mean about having Rose's site bookmarked. I too love watching the litters grow. We haven't made a choice yet. Most likely in the next few weeks we'll see more development/pictures and then will make our decision. It’s not going to be an easy one, however. All the pups are beautiful! Rose tends to her dogs with extremely care. As far as breeders go, Rose is a breath of fresh air. She is truly “refreshing”. Jack and I both, appreciate that.
I love Irish Angel and Bailey’s snow boots! Too cute! Your pictures are great! I look forward to posting pictures of our babies. We're so excited about them....just can’t wait!
Well it's official!! We made our selection...(drum roll)...............Mandy and Clancy!!! :) I just can't wait to hold them and give them both hugs and kisses! They are just too cute. My sweet Valentine's!!
