Hello Everyone
I've joined this blog in the hope of being able to help a friend of mine who is on the brink of lossing her beloved Irish Setter of 13 to hip dysplasia. She has always had Irish Setters and is a brilliant owner, once she losses her girl she will be in desperate need of a puppy, so I've taken it upon myself to try and make enquires, as she isn't in any state to at the moment, to try and find breeders in/near Norfolk who health screen/hip test their dogs and only use dogs…

Thanks Peter. Yes, I was just the same - had just the one and when I lost her it was agonising, and I swore I'd always have two, of staggered ages after that. Not that I think it makes the loss any less, but at least you aren't left with a complete void. I have a georgous 8 year old now who fortunetly came along 3 weeks after I lost my old girl and I honestly felt that she saved me, as you say, she was such a tonic, nothing else could have helped me with my grief as well as she did. I am just about to get a puppy, so am hoping to goodness they get on well!
