About Me:
My husband and I are red setter fans. Our first was a rescue dog which we got as an adult. Jess was 18 years old when she died and had a gorgeous temperament so we are well and truly hooked on the breed. We have recently (6 weeks ago) homed another rescue red setter, Phoebe, who also has a lovely temperament.

Hi Roberta

I co-ordinate setter rescue in Ireland.  I would be interested to know where you got your rescue from.  I picked up Rosy from Leitrim a few weeks ago.  She had been running for some time and her pads were well worn down.  She must be at least 13 years old.  She has made herself very much at home with my 10year old dog called Micky so looks like she will be staying here for the rest of her life.  Best wishes with your girl.

Hi Dorothy,

The first Dog came from the local Dog pound at Craigavon. She'd been collected by the dog warden as a stray. Phoebe came from Ballymena where her previous owner had left her in. Sounds like Rosy has landed lucky with a new home and company..x
