Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
Last year I missed Crufts - some may remember my blog about the photo of Glen and Beckett being used by the KC for their stand. This year Glen and I were at Crufts and a week later we went to the KC's training weekend for pointing breeds at Reeth. We had a great time!…

Annie admiring the sunrise
The Swiss 'lowlands' have also had their share of snow and yesterday morning was really cold with temperatures around -13°C. Still, nothing like the -25°C in the Swiss Alps. The dogs loved their morning walk in the snow and the cold and the rising sun made for a very special atmosphere. I dashed back inside to get my…

Below is my first post about the Annie-invasion. 2 months on I can now say that storm Annie raged through our house and caused major damage to the peaceful lives of many... especially to that of our the cats Emily and Toffee! But all in all she is doing just great and when in the mood can look quite ladylike. Not that she is in THAT mood very often. Here she is, photo taken on her 4 monthly Birthday!…

Once again the summer holidays had us heading up North, two thousand kilometres... no Olympics for us, not when we could see Setters (ok... and Pointers) at work!
We had our fill of excercise considering the amount of walking we did. As expected we saw great running from the dogs - plus one world class long jump from a certain Scots handler. I think we are now fit for the 'triple competition of combined mountain climbing long distance photo-shooting…

Glen admiring the Cairngorms.
No Crufts for us... we had decided to head north to the Scottish Spring Trials this year. Imagine my surprise when I heard Glen was at Crufts! Not caged or benched, but larger than life and full of enjoyment together with his Pointer friend Beckett.
Unknown to myself (the KC says their email to me must have got lost) the photograph I had sent in for the KC photo competition had impressed the marketing department and was chosen for…

I wonder what Glen would enjoy most for Christmas...
A bone? Hmm, not bad.
A bit of female company? That sounds better.
A day out hunting? BRILLIANT!
So that is what we did, we spent a day in the Alsace with friends and Glen enjoyed a bit of hunting with François Boitier (I do not shoot so can't take Glen hunting myself).
Another thrill was seeing 'Glen Junior du Domaine du Fuchsberg' having a first session on partridge. He stole the…

Glen is excited... the future has begun!
On May 10th 2011 in France Int Ch (CIB) Coppersheen Coalville Lad 'Glen' and Amara 'du Domaine du Fuchsberg' became proud parents of 10 big strong puppies. In keeping with today's concern to lower the level of inbreeding, this litter may be considered an outcross. The pedigree combines 'multi-purpose' Glen's…
