We were unlucky enough to have the breed judge from the day before as the group judge and he obviously did not like my girl :-) so no group placement this time.
It was a very adventurous weekend again. Budapest-Tirgu Mures is about 550 km, should not have been a big deal. But: if you find yourself confronted with electric wirings hanging down to the road in a village, causing a full blockage that in turn results in traffic detour through pastures with cows and all this takes 1,5 hours of your life, then yes, it is just irritating. We managed to reach the border somehow, bought the mandatory motorway vignette (road toll) and then realized that there is no highway :-) Instead we found ourselves in a loooooong queue of cars, by long I mean a 200 km long car queue (both directions, so no way to overtake)! We drove with max 40 km/h through the mountains of Transylvania. It was only the last 50 km that went kind of smoothly. After 10,5 hours drive we finally arrived at the camping; nice wooden houses, occupied by only dog people from many countries :) It was nice to have a rest after those long hours in the car. The next morning we got up early as we wanted to have a nice place at the show and also a good parking place near the entrance :) Unfortunately we were way to early (is 8.30 early?) as the rings were not allocated yet. After a while our ring was set up, new surprise: stones as a ground (see photo above). This because of all the rain they had last year, the organizators did not want us to run in mud up to the knees. But these stones were just soooo bad, no dog could move on them. Otherwise everything was OK. Very nice and friendly people, the city has lots of Hungarian speaking inhabitants, so no language barrier either :) Very nice food and coffee at the show ground, this is important, I think we can agree on this! Also the showground itself was beautiful, the garden of a medieval castle.
