Appleton obtains his first part of agility patent (1st degree)

We went to Toulouse last week.

Appleton and Shelsea gave me a lot of pleasure.

Shelsea got 3 excellent ( open, grand prix de france and jumping) and a very good (2nd degree)

And Appleton,2 excellent (1st degree and jumping).

Great trip, and great day.

Congratulations for these results.
I made also agility competition with my first irish setter some years ago (with Reba dite Birdy). First, a lot of people think it's not possible to have good results with a irish setter, but I got, and now you got also. Agility is a very good sport for our Irishs and when they understood what they have to do (you have to be patient for a long time), you have a very good relationship with your dog and both have a lot of fun. It's the same relation during training and Field Trial.

PS: Fletcher obtained the CACS and CACIB, then 3rd Group 7 in Rouen this week-end with the judge Mr. Riva.
Mr. Riva applied strictly the standard (62 - 67cm) but he is not agree with the new recommandations from the Red Club. He thinks it's stupid to change the standard from another country.
