Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
The adventurous thing I would like to write about happened on 25th December. We visited my cousin as he turned 40 years. As Danka is in season, the most convenient thing seemed to be to leave the dogs at home. I told my Dad to put away all eatable (or edible?) stuff as Odin acts very very "hungry" nowadays and would steal anything. Must be the age as she used to be the most obedient and well-behaved girl on earth - I could leave a plate of beeksteak on the table and she would not touch it. This has changed now :)
We arrived back home after a big big lunch and the house was full of paper... Obviously chocolate paper... Dad forgot two chocolate bars under the Christmas tree. The bad thing was that it was a special sort of chocolate, for diabetic people (like my Dad), made with that special sweetener stuff - that causes diarrhea (how to spell, uh) even in humans if not used to it. You can imagine the rest. As I was invited to a party with old friends that evening, it was my Dad who spent the whole night with romantic walks in the snowfall with Odin :-))) Silly old girl, poor Dad :-) Thanks God she was back to normal already the next morning. (And for the worrying members: I was not concerned about the theobromine content/poisoning. I already know of experience that she can cope with two chocolate bars...)
