Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

To All Irish Setter Lovers,

Christmas is at the door and we are proud to introduce a gift that will greatly support the cause of our beloved Reds. Due to change in circumstances and also some sad cases, some Irish Setter need to be rehomed and this is where Irish Setter Rescue steps in to help, known as Irish Setter Breeders Club Rescue Scheme www.isbcrescue.com

In order to raise the needed funds to rescue our Red friends in need, the Irish Setter Breeders Club Rescue Scheme have produced a 100% cotton tea towel, with their logo and breeders names on it, for the modest price of £6.50 + p&p.

Rescue at work - A case study
Last week I have witnessed the rescue of a 3 months old baby puppy Irish Setter found wandering in Southern Ireland.  Dorothy Park, the Rescue Ireland coordinator, and some of her dedicated volunteers team, lost no time to rescue this adorable little puppy. Karen McKelvey took part in the logistics and thankfully the baby puppy is in the safe hands of Jane Hough whilst recovering from a nasty chest infection.

Wishing you a swift recovery cute little baby, and no doubt the Rescue Scheme will find you a lovely home very soon.

In addition to her rescue work, Dorothy is also raising fund for the Irish Setter Breeders Club Rescue Scheme by promoting the sale of their tea towels. If you wish to support the Rescue Scheme's work, please contact and place your order to Dorothy Park - telephone 02870848995 email dorothypark291@btinternet.com

A useful gift to support a great cause!  Many thanks in advance from all the rehomed and rescued Reds you will help.

No Martina, the wee boy cannot get to a new home right now, the rescue team has to clear any medical problem first and he has a chest infection, almost over now.... a very very lovely little chap!

Very sad indeed Carmel!!!  Fortunately, quite a lot of great people where involved to rescue him, this little chap had no less than 5 women at his paws!!!!! Ireland united to help him  :-)

He truly is a lovely little dog - Mr personalityplus - so says Jane.  Had his first vacination today so the second one in two weeks time and then he is ready to go.  I am sure we will find a good home shortly for him.  But we have a 2 year old in Jane's kennels and another 2 year old coming in on Saturday and only 6 weeks before Christmas!!!!!

Wishing you all the best in finding loving forever homes for this little guy and for the other ones you are trying to place.  I can honestly say our rescued Miss Molly has been pure joy for us...we are strictly owned companions here so just the wee bit of retraining and she had us right where she wanted us.  Each day with Molly is full of laughter and wonder at how lucky we are to have her in our home.  Wish I was not so far away as that little guy is awfully tempting!

He is lovely, well done ladies, glad someone with setter experience is getting him back to health ! Unfortunately we see a good few setters needing homes in southern ireland. It amazes me !

Thanks Jackie for letting us know about this wee baby who is indeed absolutely adorable!!!! We are all very sad to hear such stories, but you did exactly what Dorothy told me, "don't stay at the level of the revolting story, but concentrate in finding a very lovely home for them" ... we should also be aware that some setters are genuinely in need of being rehomed due to very sad change in circumstances.
