Yesterday we ran Meg and the young pups off of horseback.  Meg is nearly a year old but since life has been so busy, I've only had her out twice before.  She was fabulous!  Independant and going the right places and also handled and turned when I asked her to.  I am sooo pleased with her.  The pups were put out in twos with older pups and they also ran really well.  I was only slightly hurt that they did not really NEED me!  LOL!  They all came when called at the end though, and they really paid attention to where I was without needing to be right with me.  I am so pleased with them.   I also posted photos of them on my site and photos of littermates that are in new homes too.  www.russellirish.webs.com

Monday we ran Jack and Hope and they did a really nice job.  I had ot send them away with Trena Cardwell in December while I was with Mom and Dad and the family.  I had been working on breaking them out, and it was a big wrench for me to not finish the job myself.  I was really nervous to see how they were.  Well, they ran really well, and worked their birds cleanly and happily for Trena.  Their senior stake debut is this weekend.

I am staying with a gal with a fabulous litter of field bred Gordons that are 4 weeks old and just getting to be lots of fun!  They go back to her old dual shampion too.  Fun to see a different flavour of setter as pups.   I made her a website (very simple) at www.tomarsetters.webs.com and I think she posted some photos and a pedigree.
