Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
Friends have sent this message to me ... maybe you can share it on Facebook please (I'm not on FB) ... or maybe you can give Poppy a new loving forever home ...
Thank you!
Barbara
Please help us find a home for Poppy. Found in the Avlaki area Greece about a month ago, the boys who have been looking after her are unfortunately not suitable owners. Removed from an abusive situation, she is currently safe, but cannot stay there long due to location. She is young, maybe 2 years old, clean in the house, very loving and friendly, and so far great with dogs and cats. Can you find it in your heart to at least foster her if not give her a permanent home? We can bring her to you if need be!!! No idea re microchip but she was found wearing an old brown leather collar.
Contact on facebook: Alison Green, Joanna Papageorgiou
Oh Barbara, i hope this lovely girl will find soon the home she deserves!! I admit the message you got sounds a bit confusing: was she `found` (with just the collar) or removed from an abusive owner? how is not possible to check if there is the microchip or not? sorry for asking: in particular the second question is just my personal curiosity/anxiety.. i thought is always possible to see if there is a microchip in a lost dog ; ((
but all the best of luck for those beautiful eyes!! looks so plenty of love and hope!! I just wish the best..
Hi Barbara & Silvia, I got in touch with Alison Green, as I was going to take her but she has already found her new forever home about a week ago, according to Alison. I am delighted for her now, knowing that she is safe and being loved!
I'm not actually looking, Silvia. But you know how it is, I took one look at that little face and those liquid brown eyes.....and fell in love.....again! Still, I am so very happy for her, and we move on with life without any plans for another! Wherever that takes us!
Thank you so much James! An please apologize that Poppy already found her new home ... I know how lucky she would if she could come to you.
Dear Silvia, yes you are right, it sounds a bit confusing, but I think this is perhaps on the basis of translation ... unfortunately I am not there but wanted to help Poppy ...
Poppy found already her new home - thank you all for your help!!!
