TOFFEE'S PUPPIES BORN 1st March 2009

Yesterday night Toffee (Romarne Hope) has whelped 8 puppies. We were hopeing for not too big but equal litter. She seemed to be not very big before whelping, so we counted on 6 and kept fingers crossed for 3/3 or 4/2 (girls/ boys). Our lovely Toffee has fulfilled our hopes (that is her name after all ;)))) so first came ...... a bitch.....then a 2nd one....then 3rd one......then 4th one :))))) Later she pushed out 2 boys.....and another girl.......and last but not least.....a boy. So 5/3 is the final number. Very nice weight, all pups from 420-490 gram, only last boy 330. But he is eating like hell and catching up with brothers and sisters. Toffee turnes out to be very good, gentle and caring mum.

Thank you for all the nice comments. At the moment we are changing with Bodzio in shifts. I do the "night shift" till 3.00-4.00 am, then I go to bed and he takes over. In the meanitme we both go to work, also in shifts, so that all the time one of us is with the puppies. My skills of coutning to 8 have reached a superadvanced level ;) But so far...so good :)
