What 'Naughty and Nice' things have you learnt from Setters ?

Having lost our precious Lynwood Poetry in Motion 3 weeks ago I got to thinking what she had taught me in her nearly 15 years of life. Could members add to this list ? If you can, I would love to add your thoughts to a Setter Poem my daughter is writing for me. So far, my thoughts are these: Bonnie taught me that cuddles are precious, day or night, cuddle your loved ones; that Gym membership is not necessary with a Setter; that you should resist growing up, forever, it is more fun that way ; that if you look 'sorry' enough you will be forgiven because you are loved ! Any more folks?? Dee

Fantastic. Well done Seamus. Why walk when you have the spirit inside you to leap and bound! Another lesson taught to us humans ! As for stubborn, I think 'having standards' was Bonnie's alternative phrase for this! Xx

Perry has taught us that nothing lasts forever and imperfection is much better than perfection. Just the weekend, I planted out 4 lovely pots with petunias and flowers, water and had them in a lovely display at the front entrance of our home, 30 minutes later, they are ripped out and scattered all over the front lawn and one very naughty Perry looking on and covered in dirt.  He grabs all my cushions and runs outside for a game, he likes to grab food off the table, he takes my sons toothbrush and runs outside for a game, he greets everyone with : Don't you love me, I love you" smiles and affection. He pushes my buttons on what is important, a neat tidy showroom home or my sons happiness about having his brother Perry around.

Dear Rachel. Upon reflection about perfection it seems than maybe Perry had decided your idea of perfection was and is not his !! Did you arrange your lovely petunias in HIS garden and thereby spoil his aesthetics! Just before Bonnie passed I planted some tomotoes (my first ever effort ) and she took great offence. I had replant them and to put a barrier around them. I took it down the other day and had a giggle now the plants are dead that at the time it had never crossed my mind. I had messed her garden up by placing those pesky tomatoes there. I guess I would be peeved if I came into my living room and someone had added theirown bit of furniture to it ! Well, enjoy the gardening both of you! And yes, who needs this silly human perfection anyway !!
