A setter that pulls??? Nooo, never heard of that problem...;-))
No seriously, the first years can be hard work and you really need to know what you are doing. I suggest you find a good training school - if you tell me where you are I may be able to give you contacts. Have you been in touch with the swiss setter & pointer club? They run training courses too.
Hello Caroline and welcome here. Seems we've done it the other way round - I'm Swiss and I live in Scotland ;-)
Good luck with your pulling boy. Mine still pulls (after three years - but don't tell anyone!). I'm sure you will get there, it just takes time and a lot of patience.
Best regards from Scotland,
Nicole

Hi Caroline,
You are living also in Switzerland, I'm in Geneva and you ?
I bought my dog in England as you can see on my page. From which kennel or breeder did you buy your young Irish setter ?
Mine just is just 12 months old, and I'm so amazed since he was two months, how he's calm and behaves always nicely, obedient, never a mistake, walks quitely, and never pulls.
Now your dog, did he improve ?
Hope to hear from you soon.
JL
Hi again, where are you ? Geneva or near by ?
Yours is it a male or a female ? you will see and you won't believe how my dog is calm ? he likes to play outside but always gently and he always listen to me.
