Hi there Maggie, welcome to the site I used to live near Market Raison, near Louth, a smallholding between Fulstow and Covenham, (can't remember how to spell that) lovely part of the country, I am sure that you will enjoy it here.

Hi there Maggie
I didn't manage to get to ISBC, I wasn't well at Crufts but lets face it, Crufts is a must, even if you are in your sick bed....but ISBC I wasn't sure how I was going to do, and probably would have been tossed so decided I had better stay in the 'comfort of home' to recuperate I just couldn't face the journey by myself, I really think that I am getting too old to be doing that kind of mileage by myself and sleeping in cars.
How did Jim do in the skiing marathon???
Will you be coming up to any of the Scottish shows or is that just a 'step too far' I don't have anything booked down in the south at the moment, have got to enter Irish Setter Club of Ireland but may not be able to get there as Saffy should be Pregnant by then, fingers crossed and a following wind that is...
Speak soon Dee and the girls

Hi Maggie
Sorry you had leave early at the ISBC Champ., show. However we see you have found this site that we think you will find interesting as we have.
Nice photos of your setter on site already. When we find out how to put photos
on site you will be able to view them.

Hi there Maggie
I have the same problem. Which show would you be coming up for??The spring or the Autumn show?? I know what the weather was like last year, we were in Ireland doing the Circuit and that was a complete wash out. The shows over there are all held out doors, so you had wet clothes all over the place, and I had fallen out with the people that I was sharing a cottage with, it was all in my room, where I spent the week, not to be recommended... But I had a good time despite them..
There are a lot of wonderful dogs on the continent, as we can see from this site. I have been know to start talking to dogs, in strange places, and then getting to know the owners quite well. I did that in the middle of Louth, in Lincolnshire, where I had moved to, and finding out that he, the dog, was the brother of my bitch and they both were born in the south of England....small world
I am having the same problem as you think you have, I'm rambling on a bit
Will speak soon Dee and the girls

Hi Maggie,

Thanks for the commnet about Flynn's photo. I probably did sit and watch him till he woke up, I certainly don't remember getting much done when he arrived in my life!

Hi there Maggie
Thanks for the comments. Oh yes it was a lovely day, Jas just gets better and better, as she gets older, as for the whisky its a special blend and label, so am just not sure that I want to open such a special bottle, although I might get tempted!!!!
Thanks again

Hi Maggie and thanks for the comment. It is not much snow left here, you have to go far enough from cost, to mountains, to find it. :-) I hope you'll enjoy Norway if you'll come here somewhen.
You have lovely dogs! We considering to get one more in couple of years.

Hi Maggie,
sorry I'm only getting round to a reply now... Thanks for your kind comments re photos. I hope to be admiring yours soon!
What I did when I got my new camera was buy the book to go with it (not just the handbook that comes with it) and take a week's holiday in December... then you get loads of time to try out all aspects of your camera and how to get the best settings. Usually there are the automatic and the manual programmes and they need some getting used to. I always use the 'fine' setting and can then choose the section of the picture I like best by using photoshop and still have enough pixels for a good quality photo. I uses a 200mm lense for my outdoor nature and action pictures and it really makes all the difference.
Good luck!
Susan
