hi Carmel, I am plesed you are enjoying Coney's story. Labradors and setters do go well together, In webshots there is a Swedish Irish setter called Ulme and his friend Luppe, who is ablack labrador. The two of them look so like my two, I thought they'd gone for a trip to Sweden! Cheers, Vera
Sorry that i am so late react, but i did not know how this workt
But yes I bred a litter Red and Whites.and next year I wil repeat the same combination.
On the Pic you see Pallas Green Harlequin George.
He is out Harry X Craigrua Goldie. There are two in Ierland one in Sweden , America and one in Italie.
They all are good fieldtrailers.
Regards Gerard
Hi Carmel, there are at least two!!! IRWS in Queensland - Corranroo Clansman and a Tintookie girl.... think there may be a few more - it is VERY hard finding homes for IRWS in Oz - Lee Parker (Tintookis) in Perth seems to be the main breeder.

Hi Sharyn,
I am really happy with the way the kids look at the moment.
Sophy had 11 puppies to Brodie 2 1/2 weeks ago. Unfortunately we lost one little one. It was a chance, unplanned mating (they sorted themselves out minus one gate) but the pups are super. Brodie gets into the whelping box and cleans the puppies up!

Hi Carmel, Thanks for your comment. I will send you Duke's pedigree if you give me your E-mail. Do you also live in Perth ? I used to live in Australia for nearly 9 years.
We lived in Brisbane. Your Setters look beautiful.

Hi Ali,
we live about 1 hour north of Brisbane. 4 children, 10 dogs, 3 cats, cows, horses, chickens and ducks!
My email is csp58972@bigpond.net.au
Look forward to hearing from you,

Hi Carmel
Ruby looks absolutely lovely as do all the other Irish. Her sister Kerry says Hi from New Zealand.Have a happy and safe New Year and hope to hear lots from you in 2008 (hope to maybe see you all over there in Aus in 2008).
The "Back Paddock" location was my attempt at humour - a reference to the fact that I'd rather be somewhere remote running my dogs on quail than in a town.
I'm not sure if you recall, but I believe we've actually met in person. It was about two years ago at a dog show somewhere (toward the sunshine coast/glass house mts as I recall). We were introduced by Georgie. Brodie was your new dog then, just a youngster and I think your daughter was planning to show him. Small world hey!!
I had my two with me (in crates) and you got a peak at them. They were a good deal smaller than the other Irish at the show, and frankly they don't look that impressive sitting in a crate, it's in the field that my dogs look their best.
Thanks for your kind words re: my working IS. I'm sure given a chance your girl and her pups would love it too. If you're looking for some help getting started in the field, let me know and I'll pass on some contacts. I know most of the folks that run pointing dogs on quail in Southern QLD and I'm sure somebody would be able to spare a bit of time to help you get a start.
Three orders already for the pups which leaves 1 girl and 1 boy. Stunning black male who is going to Alice Springs to be shown. Thinking of running on 2 girls to see which is the best and decide after 6 months. Do you think Peter would notice? Did John tell you that Mark
Sheppard wanted to bring Nome back to Qld. to show him?

Hi Carmel!
Thank´s for your comment. So nice to hear that we both have "Copper´s" blood in our dogs and we also have Queensett´s Highlander.
Very nice!

Enjoy that party!

Wow, 6 puppies, no wonder Roxie was big - any orders for hers?
Last week here, and all is wonderful.
