2 - 3 hours to get to work and back???????????
I suppose you deserve all the sunshine you can get for that!
I am fortunate to work at home, so no comuter problems...:-)
Hi Kathie and thanks for being a friend!
CA is a wonderful state, I loved the north especially - but that was over 10 years ago... never saw any setters though!
I think I already wrote this but I'm, tired sowhat the heck - your setter looks SO MUCH like Duke! (He has a brown nose and brown eyes, but otherwise that looks so much like him). I think your baby is smiling in that picture.
Mary (Duke and Abby's Mom)
I am the father of Susan Stone who is already on your list ! Unhappily, I've only come in the week after my dear old Ginger had to be put down. The picture shows Ginger, 11 years old, last September on a train outing in my home Switzerland. I am an incorrigeable setter friend and have had them over 35 years.
Hi Kathie Jo,
I am delighted to accept your request to be your friend. Although I am clicking on the accept button, I get the feeling this is not working.
Kind regards
Catherine Carter
Hi there Kathie Jo, If you are quick you can get to S.K.C. it is on Sunday we will be there probably coming to earth with a bang and getting dumped, still that is how it goes you just smile through gritted teeth and congratulate the people who have won, well someone has to.
Its a shame your boy has a crooked tail, one of my puppies had that, according to a 'dog' book that is one of the most common of the congenital faults with the Irish Setter yours is only the second one that I have ever heard of, there is a lot more that goes wrong with them than just a crooked tail. I hope it doesn't cause him any problems!! Speak soon Dee and the girls
Hi Katie, who did you get your Irish Setter from? He looks like a very happy boy. I used to live not too far from Oakley in Stockton, CA. A long time ago, left there in 1980 and moved back to the San Jose area then moved to N. TX in March 2005.
Hi Kathie Jo,
I cannot believe you lost Scout so quickly....I am very sorry for your loss I have only just found out...I am thinking of you. I know how hard it is to lose such a wonderful companion at such a young age. Please keep in touch perhaps the time will come when you will want to have another setter by your side. Treasure the memories you have had with Scout.
Kindest regards
Catherine Carter
Hi Kathie Jo,
I was so sorry to read the news about Scout. We all know how bad it is to loose one of our frineds, but to loose one at such a young age and after a long fight must have been very hard.
Wishing you all the very best,
Susan
i wisch jou all the best for 2009 and a merry chrismas.

Dear Kathie Jo - wishing you and your doggy family all the best this Christmas and health and happiness for the year 2009.
I know Scout will be in your thoughts at this time, but you know he is happily running free.

Thank you so much for the comment on my "Bragging-blog"! Have a super day in sunny CA! Here in the south of Sweden dawn is just breaking and I am getting ready for a long walk along the sea.

But then you would have constant great weather in CA. Here we get howling gales, snow, horizontal rain and everything else...but so far, no snow at all this winter. Not down in the south where I live at least...yes my daughter used to ride on the beach and also swim with her horse. I can imagine its great fun!
I have become too much of a chicken when it comes to riding, at least when it comes to her present horses...:-)
I would need something about 20 years old and too lazy to do anything but casually walking along...
Oh I see...mine tend to take some time before they can be bothered with a new puppy...they tend to think alla small puppies (unless they are theirs) are a pain.
Well good luck!
Which ever you choose...it will be the right one!
Thanks for your comment, Kathie Jo.
Do I read from Ursula's posts that you will be having a new puppy? I do hope so! He will grab hold of your heart I am sure...

She is still young enough to be brave! :-)
It may be cold for you...but I bet the sun shines?!
Only for a limited time I asume from the way you wrote the comment.
Enjoy your sunshine...even if it takes until 9 o clock to appear :-)
Well good luck!
