Anyone knows where I could get a 2nd hand travelling transporter?

Hi everybody,
A friend of mine needs to transport his portuguese water dog by plane and is having trouble finding a transporter that will fit his dog (about the sime size a a Setter) and for a decent price. I was wondering if anyone knew a place where they are sold online (preferably second hand, they must be cheaper!) or can help me in any way?

Try E bay.
But generally even second hand airline approved crates go for not much less than the new ones on E Bay
Try shopping around on the internet, prices vary a lot

At our nearest airport, Aberdeen, the handlers in the freight sheds keep some crates stacked for resale that have been left behind by people bringing in dogs by air who cant get the crate into their car, usually the bigger size ones. They sell these crates at a price which is generally lower than on E bay. They have both custom made wooden crates (very heavy) and the usual Vari type plastic ones

The price of airline approved crates has gone up a lot recently, I exported six puppies in November and was surprised by the prices being asked for Vari crates,it is definitely worth shopping around

Thank you, I'll definetely try ebay and airports. I was surprised too when i realised how expensive the crates have become! I'ts been a while since i had to buy one, i was shocked!
