To introduce ourselves: I'm John Bell Young, and my partner is Mike Connolly. I'm a concert pianist and recording artist (Newport Classics, Americus Records, Sony Classical) and also a widely published music critic and author of five books published by Amadeus Press. We are devoted to our two wonderful dogs: Justice, our nearly two and a half year old Irish Setter, and Ben, our nearly three and a half year old Black Labrador Retriever.
Welcome to the site guys, be warned this site can become addictive. I joined for a look and to see setters from other parts of the globe but I would never have thought I would log in as much as I do. Enjoyed the photos.
Hi again, Not a lot of years with setters really, My wife and I showed Setters and Cavalier king Charles spaniels in the 70s and 80s. Gave it away because of life and work comittments (had to pay the bills) but a trip to Ireland a while ago got my interest going again. We are hopeing for a female pup at the end of this year. (can't wait actually.) But going into this site and reading the blogs and replys has been an education. plus looking at the photos from around world of some of the show chanpions is my high light
Just noticed you here on the site. I have followed Justice on youtube and just realized it is the same dog! Your video's on the homecoming where great to watch.
I must admit I am a baddy because of being a softy ... as far as dogs/animals/nature are concerned :-)
Apologies but all my pictures are from 14 years ago and from my alpha first Irish setter - MC. I joined ES last summer, just after loosing him and couldn't, haven't had the courage to put a rational set of pictures. My grieving is quite intense ...
So MC is unfortunately no more, and I have Darwin who is 6, will be 7 mid October. It is a wee angel, so docile, sweet and soft ... almost too nice :-)
(too see Darwin, please go to David mcilveen-wright ES page, he has plenty of pictures of the two boys)
Will have a look at all your pictures now.. and video :-)
If you prefer to talk in English, it's fine for me, no problem.

By the way with whom I'm talking Mike or John ?
Take care.
