Wow, what (survival) competition are you training for? Hope he did not hurt himself when leaving the tree trunk:-)

:-) Thanks everyone for nice comments. It's 3 months later when we passed around fallen tree and I tried to force him get up. Everytime when we went around we tried climb higher and higher (exactly with dainty help) :-)
He fell down sometimes but I think he has some cat's sense. No accidents happened to him..
I think it's not so hard for any setter. Try it and let us all know about your succes ;-)

Yep my Irish use to climb the branches of my mulberry tree to get at the mulberries inside the tree canopy. In fact she was the cause of the tree getting a rather big lean to it. Right from the 1st fruiting she would put her paws up on the tree to eat the berries, as the tree grew she just kept getting higher in the tree
