How long have you owned Irish Setters?
56 years
About Me:
My family had our first Irish Setter when I was 5. We showed both in confirmation and Obedience.I have had 7 Irish Setters and Scarlet bore 12 lovely pups.
Hi there Jo Ann
I am starting to run down with the showing, well a little bit, I think that Jas will retire soon, although she really loves showing, her eyesight just lets her down now. And thank you for the congratulations. Sad to hear that you lost your boy in February, how many does that leave you with?? I am hoping to gain a ''few'' more in 5 weeks, Saffy my other girl, is I hope, pregnant, will have her scanned tomorrow, so fingers crossed there. Big responsibility looking after someone else's cats..hope to hear from you soon Dee and the girls
Hi there Jo Ann
It is nice to think that your Jillian will have a friend soon..I find that people always stop and talk to me, when I have my two out on walks, the main thing that is said is, ''We had one of these when I was a child'' it seems that everyone has had an Irish Setter, I just hope that people will still want one, as Saffy, my youngest will be having puppies in 5 weeks, I hope...
It is so nice to have someone to walk with, you can't go out and walk by yourself.
Good luck with your new ''baby'' I hope all goes well for them and you, lots of pictures when you have them, we all love the pictures. All the best Dee and the girls
Hi Jo Ann. Just came across your page. A very warm welcome to our group. I'm sure you will love it here. Lots of lovely friendly people & beautiful photo's to look through. I am from Australia and have two Setter girls, one Irish & one English. Again welcome
Hi there Jo Ann
I only have a picture of me with a big (huge) black hairy cat, no dogs, wasn't aloud a dog, always wanted a horse though, eventually got that in my late 40s but the dogs when I was first married, and haven't had a gap of not having one since, although after having lost all my lines with the Irish I then went and bought an Akita, had them for nearly 20 years but came back to my beloved Irish just before I lost my last Akita, and have never looked back since, had a few problems over the past few years but wouldn't be without them, this litter that I am now going to get, I have been waiting for many years for it...Speak soon Dee and the girls
