My late father-in-law was the 1st of his family to be born in NZ - all the older ones were born in the UK. I haven't the faintest where those places are but I remember him saying the family came from Sussex? All the Aldridge people in NZ are related - the numbers of my husband's cousins must run into the hundred by now! Family gatherings can be a bit fraught LOL! I'm mostly Irish, with a dash of Yorkshire & Cornwall - a mutt, in other words...
Hi Lesley
Lovely to hear from you! Angela showed us some photos of Couldoran Summer Leaves when we were picking Amos up. He's such a superb boy. I was introduced to Angela back in early November at the Pointer and Setter Show in Stafford - I'd gone hoping to find an English Setter breeder - and immediately liked and trusted her, she's wonderful isn't she.
We're so pleased with Amos and are going to show him at Birmingham and the Pointer and Setter shows in Mid December, partially as I quite like the shows, meeting other setter owners (there aren't many locally) but also to meet up with Angela for a chat and let her see how he's doing - He definately got the Couldoran 'big personality!' At the moment he is living up to his kennel name 'Lightning Thief!' (I wouldn't have it any other way!)
