The firefighter walked…

Pitanga's puppies were born today! There are 12 puppies, 5 males and 7 females, all doing just fine so far.
Pitanga is really tired, but very proud and taking her new mommy job very seriously!
Here is a photo I took right after the last one was born

This summer has been very emotional.
The biggest thing that changed our life completely is the loss of my dearest, smartest and most lovable
granny; AMI (Grove Creek`s Xctasy Crystal). Just a moment ago she was full of life but then the wind turned into cold and I had to let her go. I miss her so deeply.
The latest emotional moment was at Turku all breeds show where I had the honor to handle
beautiful English Setter boy Blue Baltic`s Monte Castagno. Not did he…

Pika and Dar's pups are 4 weeks old today. They weigh around 2,5 kg and are spoiled rotten. Since we had some extra time yesterday we did some standing photos just for fun and learned we have some talented and some very stubburn pups. Here are the photos of my two favourites at this moment. Photos of all the pups can be found at

An Irish setter is on the cover of the French magazine ‘Le chasseur de Becasse’ July/August issue. It features the article

Remeber Ivy and her foal? Well after her bad start, the (still unnamed) foal went to a foal-show. We did not expect that much...but we were hoping!
First class foal!
With special remarks on her very pretty face and excelent canter!
Wow!
We had hoped that her shaved hindlegs from the operation would have grown in, but no such luck...but obviously it did not matter too…
