A year ago today, Pitanga gave birth to 12 gorgeous puppies. They are all well and still looking gorgeous :)

As a birthday present, Romã recieved a new collar and tag:

I was going to make a cake, but Pitanga and Romã decided to kill our best hen, so they are grounded and there will be no cake. Other than that they have had a very fun day.

Can you imagine what your life would be like if your Setter had the same life, joy, beauty and loving character? All The good things ou lovely dogs have, except...no naughty behaviours, no prettending my owner is no here, but all the great things that fill us with joy are still there! Wouldn't that be a perfect dog? Well... I have one!

My nephews came to visit, and i was a little worried my girls might play a little bit to rough for a 8 and 2 year old. I was very very wrong! both Pitanga and Romã have been amazing with them, spent hours playing with them both and always very carefully.

This week I am so proud of Pitanga that I have to share it with everybody!

My girl, once a trouble maker and loner that had no conection with me whatsoever has taken a 180º degree turn!

Over the last year she has became calmer and kinder, and has made a good conection with me and people in general. She became more and more atentive towards what I was saying to her and became a great company for kids, wich I honestly never expected.

Yesterday we had a lovely surprise!

One of Pitanga's daughters came to visit us. It was great to see that (not so) little girl again! She is growing into a wonderful girl, full of live and joy! It was also very rewarding to see how pleased the whole family is with her :)

Well, threeweeks later, little Romã is finally out of her splint! As she spnet almost half of her life with thet thing on her leg, she now does not know how to walk with her 4 legs and the leg shows a lot of atrofy. But fortunately the leg healed just fine and with a litlle of phisioteraphy she'll be like new in a week or two! she has already improved in a few hours so i'm very hopefull she'çç recover very fast!

Well, tough luck for romã...

On her very first week of housebreaking, she was doing perfectly! No a single drop of pee inside my house and lots of fun time with her mommy!

Except yesterday...Well a friend of mine steped on her and she cried really hard for a long time. After a trip to the vet the out come was a broken arm! Is a simple fracture so she won't need surgery, and if all goes well she'll be fine in three weeks with no furhter consequences.

Well, my boys and girls are now 10 days old, and doing just fine!
They are growing well, and they haven't had any trouble.
Big news today! Eyes started to open and some of them are even sitting and trying to walk!
I'm very proud of them and their restless mommy!

Pitanga's puppies were born today! There are 12 puppies, 5 males and 7 females, all doing just fine so far.
Pitanga is really tired, but very proud and taking her new mommy job very seriously!

Well, Pitanga had her ultrasound today and she's actually pregnant!

We saw 4 puppies, but there could be more! She's about 30 days along, so in another month I'm hoping to post some sweet photos of Pitanga as a mummy!



Actually...we did another ultrasound yesterday, and there are 5 ou 6 puppies!

Well, Pitanga spent some time last week with her "Boyfriend"... We'll do and ultrasound in July to see if she's pregnant or not! Here is Pitanga with Sebastião!

So... Pitanga is now in heat, and I'm hopping she'l be pregnant soon...
If all goes well, I'll post cool some pictures during summer, if not...She's still young and there will be more oportunities!
