Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
Hi again,
Pitanga is doing amazingly well. She has adjusted to her new hearing skills and her ear is not itchy any more. For the first time in many months she is not trying to rub her ear in everything all the time, despite the stitches she still has. Her belly is doing fine as well, nice and clean scar. She is bored out of her mind as she still has to be in low exercise mode. 30 minutes of total and restricted exercise everyday is definitely not enough to a setter!!! "just" 10 more days of it, at least!
Romã is still in the hospital, and today at our visit, she didn't have an IV anymore. She is eating soft food and her tongue is looking OK. She is very very thin and I'll have a lot of trouble to bring her back to her normal body condition - I think at least 4 kg are gone by now. If all goes well, she'll come back home on Monday. Then I'll have twice the work, with two recovering girls in my hands - It'll be the best hard days of my life, having both of them again =)
She was very sad to be left again at the Hospital but enjoyed our time together.
It looks like both of my girls will fully recover pretty soon from this huge adventure.
Thank you all for your support. I'll be sure to post again when Romã gets home!
