My older setter Maeve (she's just 22 months) smiles. I've posted a photograph but I didn't get the full effect because she put her head down, so it looks a bit like a snarl on the picture, but she bares all her teeth, pulls her lips back, goes all coy, and smiles when she meets us at the gate, if we've been out.
