Winter in Switzerland - with setters too!

Winter in Switzerland can mean glorious sunshine and snow - or it can mean a depressive damp 'greyness' under the fog. We are experiencing the latter... so today decided to load the dogs into the car and search for the sun. We live at around 400m above sea level and knew the sun was out at 1000m. We drove to the hills known as the Jura, hoping for a view of the swiss alps. Here are some impressions of what we found. The dogs loved it and so did we!

Brilliant photos Susan! And great that you have a chance to get away from the "greyness", here in the south of Sweden that seems to be the only type of weather we have had for weeks...totally grey, day after day...

... maybe I should be getting paid by the swiss tourist board...

But to be honest, although this spot is not far from us, it does mean a very narrow, winding road where cars coming down have to back up to the next crossing point for cars coming up... and imagine me doing that with the car loaded with 4 dogs, windows steamed up, backing up a steep road... I wont be pushing my luck too often, so will have to put up with the grey;o(

Ah well, that would mean a no-road for me...I took my driving licence in London, and now (after 30 years of driving on these empty swedish country lanes wonder how I ever could).
So reversing for any distance is totally out...and as you say with dogs in the back it gets worse (at least thats my excuse...allthough I have to admit my reversing is not much better WITHOUT dogs!)
