Download kimmo1.jpg [ Draft ]Yesterday we went with the Irish Kimmo and the Gordons Pelle and Bear to the initation test , this is a test to see if your dog has any talent to become a field trial dog , Pelle is a traumatised dog and because of that he is afraid of the gun , he was very nervous each time they shoot and jumped in and out of the car and had no rest , i was thinking not to let him do the test but we knew that if he frightened for the shooting he would go back to the car standing close to the field , as Pelles turn was we went in to the field , for both the first time , they explained to me what to do and of we went , Pelle did what i asked him and just when i had decided to stop because of the heat , 32 degrees , he got the smell of the pheasant in his nose , he searched and he found her , he pointed at the bird , oh what fantastic this was , and then pushed the bird under the tail , the moment the bird started to fly the judge shoot and Pelle was not afraid , stood there pointing at the bird and came back to me the moment i called him

Soooooooooooooooooooooo proud of my traumatised boy that worked for me in the field as if nothing was happened , i will tell you that story another time

Kimmo , the Irish , i thought would only run in the field as a lunatic because of his youth , just 13 months old , but he went into the field , did the things i asked him to do , but did not find the bird , in the afternoon he went for the second time together with a gordon setter , the gordon found the bird but it ran towards Kimmo and he stood there , pointing at the bird , pushed under the tail and made the bird fly and he after it , it was not the way it supposed to be , but also proud of him , for his first time

Bear only was the company and enjoyed watching it.

was a lovely day to see my boys do the things they are bred for originally , hunting , i normally show with them .

Isn't it thrilling when you see how the dogs love it! Well done to Pele and Kimmo - it must be in Kimmo's genes: he is a cousin to my Glen...

Glen's mother is Northern Light vh Adelaarsvaren, Kimmo's mother is her sister No Doubt about it vh A - am I right? Is Kimmos very active? ;-))

I think your boys did very well considering it was their first try. It is easier to stop them to chase than to get them interested. So if you train I am sure your boys can do very well in the trials.

Pelle is 5 years old now , but i am going to train him for the trial , the man who trained them sunday is also a official judge and he told me that Pelle is a Gordon that he love to see , he is not so big , strong boy and he loved the movement in the field , the strong galop and even he is a showdog he also can work in the field and he loved it.

I think that Northern Light is a sister of Rose , Kimmo's mother , yes he is a active boy but in the house he is very sweet , and he loves to do things for you.

My dogs would love to do this! I don't know if they would be any good but the way they chase the rabbits, squirrels, and ducks, it is definitely in their genes. Thanks for sharing a wonderful report.

My irish setters females and Wizzy (gordon) have big hunting passion.Shilla was use for hunting with my friend lot of times in Poland,but when We was go to FT to get certyficate,judge don't like her work.
Wizzy have hunting test from Poland-he is excellant working dog,but he was never training:(I don't know any body who can help me with Wizzy,Im not hunter,and that really I don't know nothing about this.I know that Wizzy love hunting work,and I hope that one day he will be work with hunters...Ofcourse I need FT certyficate,but the most important is for me to see him in action on the real ,with profesional hunters:)not only when We are on the long walk...
