Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
The R.S.P.C.A, recently held their annual "Million Paws Walk," around the country. This event becomes bigger and bigger every year, and is obviously aimed as a fund raiser.
I have only been in a position to attend once, many, many years ago, but this year I made a concerted effort to get there, and ended up taking nine Irish. My friend Jenny went with me, and we met dear friends and helpers there, namely John and Norma with Derry, Tam and Gail, and Gemma and Adrian with Riley.
The photos show all the Irish, Gillou, Finoo, Guerin, Derry, Riley, Ballad, Lupin, Nome, Aniara, Tully and Ronnerdahl, along with a couple of doggy friends.
Needless to say, we were constantly stopped and the dogs admired, so doing the walk took some time!!!
The "Walk" was officially opened by the Premier of Western Australia, Colin Barnett, who incidentally has two of our Labradors. The venue being the South Perth foreshore, with views of Perth city in the background.
It dawned mild and a tad damp, with a slight haze, but very pleasant to walk in. Certainly everyone enjoyed themselves.
Looks like you had great fun Sis!
