We met on the meadow a stork. Kruszyna ignored it completely. I tried few times to send her to it. Without success. She prefered to paddle in wet grass.

So I decided to come closer. The stork let me to approach at about 20 m. When I was too close it moved ahead.

Kruszyna looking at me and the stork began to point it!!! The stork slowly moved sometimes pecking something up. When we where too close, it clattered and flew off a bit. We kept approching.... It clattered and flew off...

Finally we gave up. That was stork's meadow.

But next morning we went there once more. The meadow was empty. I was a bit dissapointed. But soon somebody landed on the grass. This morning Kruszyna remembered exactly that the stork is a 'pointable' bird.
The story with pointing, chasing and flying off repeated.

The stork didn't intend to give up that full of food meadow:-)

On the way home I found on the ground a dead jay . That was the opportunity to practice retrieving;-)

Great shots Anna, the stork is a lovely bird....in Holland we would say: "are there children/babies coming up?":-))))

Thanks Susan for the comment. In Poland we have the same saying connected with storks;)
There should be a lot of babies this year in Poland (or maybe in some months;-)), looking at the amount of storks this year, also the young one's in the nests;-)
