Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
Hi everyone,
First of all, Romã has asked me to thank you all for your kind words and support. This was a specially crazy week, so I didn't have time to post our news right away!
Romã repeated her blood work on Tuesday, and the improvement was almost unbelievable! Her platlets were almost back to normal: on Saturday she had 24000 and on Tuesday 173000. Considering the normal minimun is 200000, she had a pretty good recovery just in 3 days! All her other blood values were back to normal, so other than the inconvenient of having to take pills twice a day for another 20 or something days, Romã is perfectly normal and out of danger!
She also did a pretty amazing thing this morning: i think this is a milestone in her life.
Last night, Pitanga had one of those nights when she HAD to have something her way, and decided she HAD to spend the night outside, like a farm dog. So at midnight I got tired of all the crying and begging and decided to let her have it her way, for the sake of the family's night. Normally, Romã would jump right behind her and also go outside, but not last night. For the very first time, she looked at me, looked at her mum and decided to stay inside with me.
I'm very proud of my little girl, who is finally getting big and independent!
good news !!!!
