WENDOVER CROFTER (IMP.U.K.) Before Leaving England.

From the archives, this is Crofter at about 17 months of age, a little while before leaving England for Perth, Western Australia. My wonderful friends, Ros, Geoff and Jenny Brown (now Scott) were kind enough to visit J and Jimmy James, to see Crofter, and take photographs of him for me. Ros is in the photo asking Jenny if she thought Myra would like him!!
This was the start of all the wonderful Irish Setter things to happen, and Crofter flew to Australia with Jenny's puppy, Sowerhill Keelta, who later became an Australian Champion. A little while later, Wendover Jaquetta joined Amhurst.
In those days, quarantine was for three months, and Crofter and Keelta were actually released on Christmas Day,1974. A perfect Christmas present!
